An Afternoon in Bhaktapur’s Durbar Square

My second day in a row to break the “no tourist sites” rule—this time visiting Bhaktapur’s Durbar Square. (I suppose if you’re gonna break a rule, you might as well really break it, right?) After a forty-five minute, dust-saturated and traffic-infused sauna treatment cab ride from Kathmandu’s Thamel district, I arrived at exactly the worst time of day for photography—or at least a much more difficult time of day. Despite the harsh, bright sunlight of mid-day, I still managed some worthwhile wandering and people-watching, and perhaps a representative image or two.
