[ Pokhara ]
I took a visiting friend on a well-intentioned trip to Tansen, Palpa District, by motorcycle. What was supposed to be a 4-5 day improvised tour of the region to the south and west of Pokhara turned into a brief, rain-soaked out-and-back. Despite the drizzle—even in her obscured, hazy, uncooperative mood—Nepal doesn’t disappoint those with open, willing eyes. In true Transglobalist style, I somehow managed to turn a brief photographic visit to the Chanya Chetra Temple into a half-hour interview (in Nepali!) with a Pokhara-area radio personality. My five instants of fame are now behind me. *sigh*
I was also able to visit some friends from 2015’s Ramdi Bike Tour, and so here’s a little shout out to Sujata from Malunga, and Krishna of The Roadside Cafe, near Syangja. Thanks for the hospitality guys, it was great to see you again!
