¡Hola transglobalistos y zacatecanos, saludos de Zacatecas!
Not surprisingly, I ended up staying one day longer in Zacatecas—there was just too much to do. I spent that penultimate day taking photographs, saying goodbyes, and wandering through the gorgeous fall weather. My perambulations reminded me that I haven’t yet published any images of Zacatecas, aside from one, obligatory, Día de los Muertos post. So, in my final pre-departure hours, let’s correct that oversight.
Longtime followers won’t be shocked at the absence of traditional landmarks and sights in this album—they simply don’t interest me much, and never have. Instead, I try to discover the “real” local culture, routines, and neighborhoods. In this small sampling, you’ll meet some of my new friends and neighbors, learn my favorite hangouts, and see a bit of Zacatecas’ historical center through my biased eyes.
I’ll save further commentary for the photos themselves, but thank you all in advance for your interest, and for following my journey. Hasta luego,
