Several months back I received an email from the wonderful folks at Off Track Planet, asking if I’d be interested in having them promote one of my trackbooks, Discovering the Himalayas. I said “sure!” While we were working on that, various other things came up, including Ganesh Kumari Shrestha’s accident. Before I knew what was going on, they had set me up for an interview with their enigmatic editor-in-chief, Anna Starostinetskaya, and suddenly I was exchanging email ripostes with the inimitable author of such classic OTP titles as “What The Fuck is a Maid Cafe?” and “OTP’s Guide to Iceland’s Penis Museum.”
Fun, that.
All of this resulted in my appearance, on this very day, as the featured traveler/adventurer/nutjob du jour in OTP’s online magazine. The column is called “This Guy,” and, well, today I guess I am This Guy.
